Welcome to the info-site of Transatlantic & Regional Advice & Development Enterprise (TRADE) Ltd. A private company incorporated under the laws of Jamaica. We are a company designed for and geared toward facilitating all aspects of commercial trade within the CARICOM Single Market (CSM) and between Jamaica and its international trading partners. The remit of our services include acting as agents in inter- and intra-national commercial undertakings, advising, industry training and assisting in the preparation of trade regulatory applications for compliance with cross border trade Regulations. The focus of our aim is to facilitate and appreciate your trading interest.

For Jamaica’s part the CSM was launched in January 2006. However, in spite of the potential trading opportunities presented by this intra-national political trading union, we at TRADE observed that there was no shift in gear at regional level or apparent excitement amongst suitably positioned traders at the prospect of being presented with new and untapped markets. Regional traders seemed unprepared or indifferent to what the CSM could mean for them. In spite of the efforts of some sections of the media, only a few multi-million dollar corporations appeared to be grasping that there were now several million more people who had yet to sample their domestically successful products. Against this background TRADE stepped up to lead the way. In April 2006 TRADE was incorporated for the purpose to engage in the task of stimulating cross-border commerce by introducing products to markets, and suppliers to consumers. TRADE is thus about facilitating commercial trade.

In designing the services of TRADE, as trade facilitators, we were aware that private limited companies were the most popular means of doing business in Jamaica. However, we were also aware that the process to obtain such a vehicle for business was not without its complications. In response to this TRADE’s services had to include a provision for simple and convenient company formations. In consequence TRADE became the first private company in Jamaica dedicated to the incorporation of Jamaican companies.
